Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a form of alternative psychotherapy, that supports to manipulate the body's energy field, releasing negative emotions that have been "stuck" there, by tapping on specific acupressure points, while a specific traumatic memory is focused on. This release disconnects the person's emotions from the event, person, place or event. Therefore they are free to move forward with their life, having stopped the vicious cycle of negative automatic thoughts that have prevented them from living a better quality of life.(NATS)

EFT can be done in three separate ways. The EFT Practitioner can do it for the client, the client can learn it and do it for themselves OR the EFT Practitioner or someone with advanced EFT knowledge and training can do "surrogate EFT" for another person, like a child or a person at a distance or for a person who is not well enough to do it themselves.

EFT can be done in a private session or in a group session.
